Data Center Migration Notice for VPS Customers (Phase - 2)

As part of our continuous commitment to providing better services and a better hosting experience to our valued customers, Host IT Smart will be carrying out a major data center migration on June 10, 2023.

Typically, we provide a 30-day prior notification and migration window, but due to the recent frequent outages, we are expediting the process and moving all our servers from the current data center at Reliance IDC Mumbai (Tier III) to ST Telemedia Global Data Centre Gandhinagar (Tier IV) to ensure improved performance stability.

Who Will Be Affected?

All Host IT Smart customers using VPS service within the below IP range will be impacted by this major server migration.

IP Range 1: 103.127.146.0 to 103.127.146.254
IP Range 3: 103.154.233.0 to 103.154.233.254
IP Range 2: 103.138.96.0 to 103.138.96.254

When Will this Happen?

The migration will take place from 10th June 2023 at 08:00 PM to 11th June 2023 at 05:00 PM IST.

What Will Happen During the Migration?

1. We will shut down and disconnect the servers, and relocate them from the current data center to the new one.
2. Approx 18-20 Hrs of downtime is expected during the migration exercise. Rest assured, we will keep you informed both before and after the migration.
3. There will be NO changes to the IP addresses of your hosting accounts/servers once the migration is complete.

What Are The Things You Need To Prepare For?

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND all customers running a full data backup of their services with us to their local desktop/laptop/external drive as an extra precaution for this major migration process.
